Need help with inline regulator

i AM HAPPY WITH MY AIRBRUSHES AND HAVE A GREAT SMALL TANK COMPRESSOR. The trouble is that I will have to do much of my airbrushing in the garage. In the garage is a large compressor with about 50 feet of air hose, which is used to blow up car tyres and use dewalt nail guns etc. I need an inline air regulator/filter that connects to my garage compressor as an inlet and feeds out to my airbrush which is a standard airbrush size with a narrow airbrush hose. How the heck do I do this? I,m in the UK and I am 72 years old all these connections inline stuff just throw me. Help.

As Mark has stated, an introduction is the polite thing to do , we like to know a little about our members (as per our Dragon Plaque above)

I assume your garage compressor has a built in regulator ? then all you need is an adaptor to fit between your existing hose and your airbrush hose (airbrush hoses have two different diameter 'compressor' ends available) .
Dial your regulator down to about 35psi, then hit the trigger on the airbrush and adjust it until you get the PSI you are after at the tip of the airbrush.

Depending on
what airbrush
what paint
what you are painting on (vehicle or matchbox will need different psi requirements)

you will need something like this to fit your existing compressor setup

You can screw the fitting Jackie posted on one side of the regulator, then plug it in to the big hose, then just put a 1/4 nipple on the other side and screw on the adapter shown in my thread.

I feel the pain from OP. When I started I was lost like a Dory with all of those different connectors.

Well, I still am, but now I have working setup cause of help from you guys and I don't think about that anymore lol

Someone needs to watch that caps lock button LMAO. I fixed the title mainly due to it was not a life or death thing to yell about .
I had the opportunity to get to know few times people, which didn't know big letters(caps) are yelling on internet. They were mostly people which don't use internet a lot. My old man probably doesn't know caps are yelling also.

I have two regulators. One at the compressor (came with) and one at my bench to control the air. I use these disconnects at the second regulator at the bench.

I made my own manifold allowing an air line for my three brushes. Don't laugh at the shape of the regulator at the bench...lol...it still works...lol

Any of these suggestions will be fine, for a more tailored answer would it be possible for you to post a picture of the compressor outlet and any connections you already have. That would allow us to ensure a more specific answer. Whereabouts in the U.K. are you?

It will with the adapter or a paasche type hose.

ah, ok, i've re-read the original post and it may be that he has the 1/8" - 1/8" airbrush hose,
I buy the 1/8" - 1/4" hoses so i can have that adaptor and it's plugged into the 1/4" end of my airbrush hose that will fit direct into my regulator or my compressor or my compressor hose if my compressor happens to be at the other end of the workshop......
that way I only have one adapter, not multiple.
