My name Is James. I hail from New Bedford Massachusetts.

I'm a commission miniature painter, mostly specializing in table top minis, although i can paint most anything.

I added airbrushing into my toolbox and have found it to be an excellent addition.

What brought me here was having problems with my compressor. I'm getting spurts of water out of the hose. Vert frustrating when I'm working on a model.

Lots of great info and help on here already. Glad to be aboard

Welcome home James
As far as your compressor issue is mainly due to being a tankless compressor and the longer it run the hotter it get allowing condensation to by pass the moisture trap and find it way down the airhose.
But fix is buy a tanked compressor , California air makes some affordable silent ones.

Thank you sir, i appreciate you chiming in on the other thread I made.

I didn't mean to skip protocol by not introducing myself. So i applogize for that

Welcome James. I’ve seen the other guys coming up with answers on the other thread. So I’ll simply say “Wassup”.

Yo, I'm in Florida - Hot and Humid use a moisture trap near the airbrush connect rather than right off the compressor. I use a regular very loud 8gal oil compressor with a good regulator. Paid a $114 today for it and it will run anything in my shop (I do more than AB). Used to have a 3gal $33.00 compressor that was fine for AB but not Ultra high speed carving. Kept in the garage and ran a air hose into the house it was not too loud but didn't kickoff that much. Granted these run at 80dbs. but for that price who cares the new one I just bought will last years and then some. Tried a Cal Air it sucks - do your research I'm not alone in that opinion.
