Hi all
I'm new to airbrushing I've setup an infinity airbrush with California Air compressor
I've got a coiled hose with a water filter and regulator and then a 10 floor master braided hose with a quick connector to my infinity brush

When I connect the brush I hear light hissing of air coming out is that normal?

Thxs in advance

"Coming out" of where? No air should be coming out anywhere if you're not pressing the trigger. Start with no hoses attached. Then the one and then the other. Somewhere is a leak that needs plugging.

Sounds like your Quick Connect is leaking. If you have more than one male end, the part that attaches to the brush itself, try switching them and see if it does the same thing. Chances are it is the female end that is attached to your air hose, and your only option there is probably to try a different one.

I’ve been there, I bought a Sparmax quick connection with mac and never could use it as it has a leak no matter how many quick males I had tried!!
yes I know I can fix it, but I already had an iwata mac and a quick connect, so...
What can I say a I’m lazy!!![emoji2371]

Is the 2. 7mm quick connect different then a 1/8" quick connect yet they both attach to the airbrush?

Huh? 2.7mm is the approximate size of the through hole in the QC that air passes through. 1/8" BSP is the size of the thread on many airbrush bodies where you connect the air hose. So, this means many air hoses are fitted with an 1/8bps female connector.
