Painting model cars, want a nice look-- brands?

Yeah, while were asking, how many scale items have you painted professionally for film studios?

You mean the same way where you start an argument over something obvious like that you cant make a 1.5 kilo item from 1 kilo of material or keeping an eye on scale isnt a good idea for a scale object.

Then backpedal and talk about how experienced you are.

I used that method when I painted my second airbrushed model back in 93/4, it was a mazda and ends up great, TamiyaX-23 clear blue over Tamiya Chrome Silver X-11, then I begin to use Tamiya spray cans, it was way better an easiest and then since 96 I used mostly oem paints.
The main issue with this method, at least to me, was to get an even look with the clear blue( candy) paint, I think that know with all my experience will be a little easy, but man I painted and repainted a few times that model to get a decent look!!

Yeah the guy had to put down about 7 coats or so before the colour looked some what solid.

If you where to do a rusted/ beat up car you can get some dust effects with the airbrush by misting on some Tamiya buff or similar colour.

I really cant talk for others but I hate enamels, As far as I can see, the one I follows use Vallejo, mig, ak acrylic paints now days and tamiya or Mrhobby acrylics the ones that do cars and bikes
