Hi Everyone,
I've perused these forums for a few years; invariably when I need some airbrush advice I end up here, so I thought it was time I joined. I should have joined sooner as I'm in the market for a Custom Micron B v2 and lo and behold there was one for sale - but alas, I was too late.
I do scale models, primarily aircraft, so I'm a hobby painter and not so much an artist like many of you here.
I have an Infinity CR Plus with .15, .2, .4 and .6 needles and nozzles. I used to have two, but had heard good things about Iwata so I sold one and bought a HP-C Plus. Love it. Will be buying the HP-B Plus next (or a Micron B if one comes my way first) and maybe a few others. I started out with Badgers - and love their customer service - but wanted to upgrade to something more suited my preferences.
I have a simple oiless single piston compressor with no tank and am considering upgrading that as well, but the little guy has served me so well for years now. With a line water trap in addition to the trap on the compressor, I haven't really noticed any pulsation, so I've had no rush for a new one.
I have been using Tamiya acrylic and Mr Hobby Aqueous paints, Vallejo Metal Color acrylics and am now switching over to Mission Models paints as well. I'm trying to stay away from lacquers as I don't have room for a spray booth, only a chemical mask.
Hope I haven't been too verbose - Thanks for letting me join!
Stephen
