Hello all:
First, thank you for allowing me to join the Orange AB forum. A little about myself:
I'm in the Chicagoland area and use the airbrush for scale model building, mostly WWII aircraft with a few cold war jets in between. I've used various double actions AB in the past, including Badger, Paasche and Iwata C plus ranges but still consider myself average when it comes to use, however am very familiar with maintenance and overall AB health.
My current AB setup includes a few patriot 105's and a old renegade. I have a weak right wrist so with different size scale models come different levels of fatigue and overall comfort. I also should mention that I don't subscribe to "this particular AB is the greatest and no other comes close" thinking.
As stated above, I'm awaiting my delivery and am eager to start familiarizing myself with it but am having some confusion regarding the Iwata parts compatibility . I've read that this is a very close HP-CH plus.
Can anyone guide me as to whether or not this particular AB accepts Iwata HC- C needle and nozzle sets? I have a store right down the road from me that sells Iwata so hopefully I can get parts easily. Thank you very much for any and all help you can give.

I believe the Iwata HP-C uses a different nozzle thread vs. the HP-C+. The GSI will use the same threads as the HP-C+. I will have to measure the nozzle cap hole, as well as the needle taper... but, think as long as you replace them all at the same time, then you are good to go.

OK, I went and checked a couple of set ups I have in the works...

Nozzle = The Iwata HP-C+ nozzle will fit the PS289
Nozzle Cap = Stick with the PS289 nozzle cap (the Iwata "C" nozzle caps are larger diameter, and use a different thread)
Needle = Either will work. I am actually using a PS770 needle in conjunction with the PS289 nozzle with very, very good results.

Thank you very much for your time and help, Dave. I'm a very happy camper knowing that, although I've yet to damage a nozzle, the needle seem to magically drop off the workbench and have a store that I can go to that is very close by. Have a great Evening.

That’s what mines gonna get, a 770 head and needle for the slightly shorter nose..

Also revamping my Olympus with a 770 head assembly.

Then a 289 for the .3 setup. Cause well I can.
You are the king of airbrush knowledge Dave!
