Hello!
I’m new to airbrushing-just beginning my research for my first airbrush, compressor, etc.
Looks like there are a lot of knowledgeable folks here, and I’m ready to learn all I can, withe the hopes of one day sharing my quest with others!
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Fred, welcome from Australia.

what equipment you need will vary depending on what outcome is required.
Do you want to do tshirts/ artwork/ models/ miniatures-gaming?

I primarily build plastic models: cars, ships, planes, etc.
On the bench now is a 1/32 scale P-38.
It’s just too much to paint with a brush and too much overspray with rattle cans!
I’ve read that a compressor with a tank and some form of moisture control helps-
Any thoughts? I have zero air spraying equipment...
Looking at a Paasche TG-100D kit, but know little about it. And I’m not sure if I’d be better off buying separates...
Thanks again to those that have already replied!

Sometimes kits are ‘ok’
Personally I’d go for a compressor with a tank. Tankless ones (which are normally the ones provided with the cheaper kits) overheat and can pulsate

Hi Fred , welcome to the forum. There has been many threads started about airbrushes, compressors etc so if you have a little go with the search function you should find a lot of useful information on what to and what not to buy.

Thank you!
In my haste, I ignored that basic tenet of forums...
I appreciate your tact. I did more research, using that search function, and found what I needed.
I also realized this thread has most likely exceeded its purpose, that of being about introductions, so I will post in the appropriate area(s).
Thanks again for making me feel welcome, from literally around the world!!!

Welcome to the forum. I’ve only been here two days and have learned a ton. These folks are great.
