Day one in the airbrush house

Here’s a fairly hopeless video of some base coating I did today. This is white Autoair over primer. It took 4 coats before the grey primer was no longer visible. To be honest I’m not model painting expert, I’m just going with the tried and true methods of light layers properly dried in between.

You seem to be moving the brush much slower than that example video, is that because of less paint or is it the type of paint?

That’s just because I was releasing a tiny amount of paint. I was moving faster on the wider spray areas. The main thing is that you can hardly see the paint land until it’s on some of the flatter areas.

Bit off topic here but

Is it possible to gage 2 air lines out of the one tank and compressor?

My son loves airbrushing (he even loves wearing the mask) and the wife suggested a cheap Chinese compressor for him, but I figured there must be a way to use what we already have?

Here you go buddy. I have setup with 2 regulators so I can have 2 different psi at the same time. I have quick connects on both hoses for airbrush and as you can see I can expand later to more hoses/regulators if I need to. In my case there were used stuff which are for plumbing. Twood had also multiple setup. I don't remember though if he has multiple regulators or one for all hoses.

I only have one regulator (the silver knob at bottom) before my home made manifold. I also have one at the tank....I just add on as I get more brushes... I have since replaced the dial...lol
