Thanks manNice to see you are upping your game and experimenting.
my pleasureThanks man
I never heard that someone would clear coat in stages. -.- But I am not clear coat guy. As far as I know it, you do the work first, clear coat last. Who knows, maybe I will learn something new. Again. One more question sorry
Once I've got myself where I'm happy with the panel, can I then re mask and clear coat it?
Or is it best practise to not clear coat until the end and do it all at once?
my pleasure.Thanks mate
Yes you can. Sometimes this is done if you have out a base coat down and then want to do artwork on top of it, so if you make a mistake you can sand off the artwork and. It effect the base as long as you’re careful. You can clear the base coat and scuff it lightly when it’s dry, then do more on top.One more question sorry

You can totally use trans too, I use a Solvent clear either Intercoat (trans base) or a full 2k Clear with waterbased paint. That way I can literally use reducer to wipe the artwork without any risk of damaging the clear coat or the base underneath. That black widow I did was done that way.you see , SiRoxx to the rescue
I thought people use trans for that
Transparent Base. It’s basically paint without the colour pigment so it’s clear. It can be used to make a colour more transparent, but it has a bunch of other uses.Trans?

You have a yellow base...so you would fade the green. you will have a hard time covering the green with the lighter color yellow. and the fade could end up with a lime looking green in the transition. Now, how to "gratident the yellow into the green?
I usually just protect it with some kind of intercoat. I use AutoAir and Wicked, so I use either trans base or 4030 if no candies, or 4020 for candies...then I would clear all at once. Let the intercoat dry, mask and go....One more question sorry
