Hello there!

Young Tutorling
Ebbtide aka Wally here.

Way back in the late 70's my wife bought me an airbrush and compressor for my model building. Mainly airplanes & tanks with a couple cars thrown in.
The brush is a Thayer & Chandler single action that had jars that attached to it.
Never had much luck getting it dialed in, so on the shelf it went.
The model building bug faded away...

Fast forward a couple of decades, and trust me they went fast, I'm doing leather work and wanted to get an even coat of dye on a pool cue case.
Dug out the T&C and the results were still poor, so I sprang for a Paasche double action (VL?) and what a joy to use.
Nice even layers of dye on the leather, where you get no second chances....

Now, I figure it's time to really learn how to make use of the airbrush's potential. Instead of a fancy spray can if you will.

So here I am, a sponge. Ready to soak up the accumulated knowledge.

Nice to meet you all :)

Nice job on the leather work! I'm sure after everyone wakes up you will get a few more welcoming people on this thread ! While you wait around have a look around as there's A LOT of info on here but if you have any questions about something just ask as we are all willing to help have fun and post a few more pictures of your work?

Welcome to the forum Wally. Basepaint has you covered with the info on the forum. That leather case looks real nice too. Hope to see some more of your work soon.

We’re all one big happy dysfunctional family around here, so pour a drink and jump in :) there’s likely more answers than you have questions but it will all start to make sense
