Creos PS276 .3 Side Feed (first look)

I received this brush today, just 2 days after purchasing from Spraygunner. I had not even received a shipping notice yet, or anything...

Creos PS276 Side feed outfitted with a .3 needle, nozzle. If you are familiar with Iwata, the best way to describe this one is to say that it is like an Eclipse with an HP-C head and nozzle. My initial impression is that it works exactly the way one would expect it to. The trigger is almost exactly like the Eclipse, but the angled forward valve stem adds a bit of comfort to the hold not found in the Eclipse. Overall, it is a large brush, much like most of the other Creos line. Seems to spray and atomize as one would expect. The large 10cc side cup screws on the body, on either side, and is accompanied by a filler plug for the off side...

I'll have more info and update this post after I have spent some time playing with it.

Dave your really going to give me a case AAD...lol

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping for a side feed based off the PS770/771. It seems like a somewhat bulky cup on the side, is it awkward at all? Let me know after you get some time behind it.

I have heard rumors of a potential 771 side feed, but I would not take my word as gospel... just something I saw that made me think it may eventually happen.

The entire brush is large, so the cup does not feel out of place. The angled valve stem also fits ones hand in such a way as to support that off-side weight better than some vertical ones may. BUT :), I am not a fan of the large cup myself, nor the screw in method by which it attaches. My plan is to replace it with an adaptor that will accept a standard Iwata style color cup, along with a smaller off-side filler plug to drop some weight from the front of the brush.

Thanks. The threaded cup looks similar to the Grex one from what I recall. Hopefully the existing Grex adapter fits. I've heard the same rumors as you, hopefully there is some truth to it.

Not that I will be buying one as I already have more than I ever use BUT I do like a side feed. So they will basically have a Micron SB if they do, very interesting. I must make some sort of stand system for my AB's so I can show em like in Dave's pic, I only have about 20 but its enough for the moment.

Dave,

would the head unit of of 770 work on this brush? I am not really framiliar with moving parts back and forth between brushes. I would love to have the side feed option on my 770.

no, the head as an assembly is not removable on this brush. The nozzle post is part of the body, with a nozzle cap installed over it.

That's a nice brush. Good luck with it. You have an amazing collection and take such good care of them. Beautiful..
