Hi, my name is...

Hi,

My name is PeterSimon, 37 year old male from the Netherlands.
Been airbrushing on and off for a few years. It took some time to write an introduction, been reading and watching the pictures of some of your fantastic artworks for quite some time.

Preferred airbrushes are from Iwata, paint by Etac, surfaces flat and non-synthetic. Occasionally I’d like to paint scale models.

Still learning and picking up advise from this forum.

:)

Best regards,

PeterSimon

Welcome to the forum PeterSimon, There is a lot to read and lots of great artwork to look at so don't worry about taking a while to say hello. You are here now so enjoy your stay here. I hope we inspire you to paint in some way.

Hi Peter, it’s good to see you step out of the shadows and get involved on the main forum. If you’d be happy to, post some pictures of your work. We always love to see what the members here are getting done. Welcome!

Hi Peter,

Welcome. I'm in Canada. You'll find everyone here to be super friendly and passionate about all things airbrush. It's a great community.

Like yourself, I lurked for a couple of years, but glad I came out of the shadows. Some amazing and super helpful people here from every level of skill, and background. The combined knowledge of all the amazing folk here is a great resource, and a question posted here can save you a ton of time and frustration, no matter how simple or complex.

Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Out of interest... what kind of scale models do you paint? We had a discussion the other day and it seems that a lot of us are also closet warhammer or scale model painters, as well as doing fine art, textiles or automotive. I guess it makes sense. If we use airbrush for anything, then it is only natural that we stumble into using it for other things too.

I was suggesting that maybe we have a forum section just for airbrushing in scale or wargaming models, as it seems a lot of us fall in that camp too!

Welcome from Australia :)

Its nice to see people step out of the shadows, just don't be afraid to post up pics of what you are doing and ask questions when you need to.
I'm not sure @Kim McCann 's suggestion that it can save you a lot of time and frustration is true. Sure we can cut down your learning time but frustration seems to be an ongoing thing lol
