I have a TRN1 and it has what I think is side to side trigger play on it, Is this side to side trigger play normal.

Being I have yet to use that style of trigger but kind of know how things work, I say yes the slight side to side play is normal for that style of trigger.
But @DaveG might be able to answer the question better.

I dont have that airbrush but I do have a airbrush with that style trigger and it also has that slight movement to the side and I think it has to do with set up of that trigger but it doesnt effect the way that brush sprays

I've not had any experience with this type of airbrush however I would say as long as its only the trigger where you put your fingers and not the one inside the airbrush you should be ok.
