Air Brush Jeep

New to airbrushing so like I when was in the U.S.AF. back in the day when we were getting started with hands-on training, they called us "JEEP's" which stood for "Just Entering the Education Process". I have an Iwata NEO BCN and a Harder and Steenbeck Infinity "Chameleon". The Iwata has a 5mm needle and is a lot of fun. The Infinity Chameleon has a 2mm needle and I am currently finding mixing paint for it is a bit challenging. The user guide is sparse but I really like the feel and the way it works. I am looking forward to coming here to learn to hone my airbrushing skills!

Welcome Home elchivato
What paints are you using?

The smaller nozzle like paints like Createx Illustration, E'tac or Golden High Flow.
Mainly I should say the H&S .2 likes those paint , The Iwata .18 or .23 doesn't care as much LOL.

Well I guess being a JEEP is better then being a WOC(Warrant office course) . We have a few vets from all over the world on here so ya should fit in pretty good.

Welcome! Glad to have you as part of our community. When questions or problems occur, just ask away. Everyone is here to help each other out.

Thanks and you are on the money! I purchased some Createx Illustration paints and they work well out of the bottle right now. The warrant officers were on the way out of the AF back when I went in. I was an airman E-2 at least lol when I was a Jeep at Misawa AB Japan. Glad lots of Vets are here enjoying the hobby.

Airbrushing is my way of dealing with PTSD But it was called battle fatigue when I got out but that was a few decades ago.LOL Plus RUSH 2112 blairing out of the sterio here in the garage.
CI will flow well through thqt H&S but I find it still needs a little reduction to flow really smoothly.

Welcome to the forum, you will learn how your airbrush likes the paint mixed but it will take you a short while to work out its sweet spot. Every airbrush is different. Even if you had 2 identical ones, they could like the paint to be thicker or thinner to get it to flow right. You will get it. Keep on practicing.
