Pshit Log

I use the reducer that came with the kit. I put 3 drops of paint and 3 drops of reducer. For the PSI, I'm at 15 PSI.

Your reduction is pretty much what I use with Wicked. However, assuming you are using the .35 Neo, 15 PSI is pretty low. I usually run that needle size with that reduction around 30-35. If you want to use that low a pressure, you are going to have to reduce more. I would either bump up the pressure, or try using 2:1 reduction. 3 drops of paint to 6 drops of reducer or more depending on how it responds.

Tip dry is a fact of life, but there are also techniques that will help. I will post a link that will help explain. Give me a minute to find it.

You are very welcome!

The point of the video is that trigger control and keeping the air going until after you stop the paint flow will help reduce tip dry, along with other issues.

glad you got it working but depending on what you are painting / painting on, the 30psi could be a bit high, you'll struggle with any detail - it will just be throwing to much paint to fast for any great control.

remember, if you lower the psi you will have to reduce the paint.
I don't know if your line of paint has some sort of a transparent base, (colourless paint) because if you add to much thinner / reducer you'll break the binder that holds all the pigment together and you'll have grainy spray.

I will try to go a little bit at a time. now I reduce 1:1 .. I can try 2 parts paint and 3 parts reducer.

There is no reference pic, so nothing to compare it to. If you are looking for comments technique, I would say your fine line work is getting better. The dots at the tooth tips would indicate that you are holding the brush there to long while making the lines. I'm guessing slight hesitation between going up and then back down. That can be corrected by letting off on the paint when you reach the end of one side, then back on to go the other way. Practicing connecting dots with lines will help. That heavier spot on the neck spidered, which could be a lot of things.

Like Jackie said, 30 PSI is pretty high. I know I suggested it, but that was to fix a specific problem, getting the brush working. If you plan to keep working at that pressure, more trigger control as far as paint flow will have to happen. Otherwise, reduce the paint more and run at lower pressure.

It's a constant battle. The ebb and flow of paint vs. pressure. We all figure it out with time and practice. Keep painting and keep the questions coming.

Thank you very much. That is exactly the help I wanted. I did this drawing just to practice to draw lines.

Looking at the teeth area of the picture, it looks like you need to practise your technique a bit more.
the blobs can indicate that you are not shutting the paint off before the air, or you are hovering in that one spot too long.

the basics.

as you get more confidence you will draw your lines a little faster, which makes them straighter

For small detail yes you can if you like. Be careful about touching the needle on your substrate, It doesn’t take much to damage the tip of the needle and get some funny spray patterns happening
