H&S Evolution Silverline makes me crazy

In January I bought a new H&S Silverline with 0.2 Nozzle . And since than I always have problems with thin lines.
I use Schmicke paints and some createx , air pressur from 20 to 35 psi , diluting the paint from 1: 1 to 1:5
I tried a mixture of 1 part isopropanol and 3 part water. I tried the 4011 reducer . None of this really helps

THe main problem is that there is no konstant reaktion of the brush . Sometimes it works ok , next line I want to spray nothing happens , I pull the trigger a bit more a big splash comes out . I never know what happens next. I bought a new nozzle and needle , but still the same .
I have a Sparmax gun and a Toricon , no problem with those, only the Evolution .
Any suggestions are welcome .

No two brushes respond the same, even more so when going across brands. So, comparing them is not gonna really help anything - unfortunately.

It sounds to me like the problem is related to the air flow over the nozzle. This action, high speed air flowing past the open tip of the nozzle, is what draws the paint forward in an airbrush. It could be that the paint path in the H&S is smaller than the other brushes, which will make it harder for the change in air pressure to overcome the surface tension between the paint, needle, and paint channel walls. Water can increase the surface tension, as well. So, while the paint is physically thinner, it is actually stickier to the walls of the paint channel and needle... You can try adding a "flow improver", or "release agent" to the paint, which will help to break the surface tension. There are many for acrylic based paints...

The other thing you may try is changing the nozzle cap on the brush. I have seen a few variances in H&S brushes that could be explained by a difference in nozzle protrusion from the nozzle cap. Fractions of an inch can make a BIG difference here. No guarantee a new cap will be different, but it could be worth a shot.

Many thanks for your answers . I will try some flow improver and See if it will work better

Cleaning die airbrush was the first thing l did. But it die Not help.

This is one you have to solve with a little trial and error. I don’t use either of those paints on a regular basis; ComArt is my preferred line, where I’ll use a 4:1 mix of paint to Liquitex flow improver for the opaque colors and a 10:1 mixture for the transparent colors. I also keep a cotton ball soaked in cleaner nearby to carefully dab the needle tip in periodically to remove tip buildup as I work. In general tip buildup seems considerably greater when doing fine lines as opposed to greater trigger pulls when painting a large area.

If there’s one gripe I have about H&S brushes, it is the consistency of control. I talk a little about this in this thread. It just seems like Iwata brushes are a step above H&S in this respect, where the trigger responds reliably with each pull. Some of the H&S control woes can be solved by carefully polishing the needle tip with a fine polish compound to improve function and reduce tip buildup.

I will try the polisching of the needle and see if it helps. I got a bottle of the createx reducer 4012 and it seems to work better for me .

Problem solved and as DaveG wrote it was the nozzlecap. I have a old H&S Ultra with a 0.2 setup and took the nozzlecap and put it on the Evolution.
And all Problems were gone.
I did some measuring and the drilling that makes the airgap between nozzle and nozzlecap was about 0.3 mm larger in diameter from the Evolution to the Ultra.
H&S offers the Evolution with 2 Setups , one 0.2 Setup . one 0.4 Setup . Maybe they mounted the wrong nozzlecap.

Thank you for all your help
