Did it do that as soon as you added reducer? It seeded on you. 4012 is known to do that. How does your paint look without reducer?

Ugg it’s like that out of the bottle and it is not the only color.

can it be saved or is it new paints for me. ?

4012 is problematic, that why they’ve now updated their range to only 4011 and 4013. Once stock of 4012 runs out it’s done.

are you using Createx airbrush Colors opaque or Createx Wixked opaque ?

the 2nd photo looks more lumpy than separated, get a skewer and give the paint a good stir to get the thick stuff off the bottom, put the lid back on and give it a good shake, use some women’s nylons over the top when you add it to the cup to strain out the lumps.
Is it possible your paint may have been frozen

Double check with a different style container that is untouched. Just making sure no previous chemical is interacting with it.

Thanks for the comments.
These are just Createx opaque paints. Not wicked.
I will try the mixing idea along with nylon filters. These paints have been in my basement. So they should not have been frozen.

I hope the mixing and filter works because I have like 12 different colors.

I may have a color I never opened I’ll check it out as well.

thanks

Is this the paint you have ?

It’s aimed and more craft applications than arty type of painting, it’s a thick paint which requires a PSI of 35 and prefers a .35 - .50 needle

Being a thicker paint you will need to make sure it’s well mixed (from the bottle) I use a long stirrer to reach the bottom of the bottle where it’s naturally thicker. Mix it well, filter it into a small medicine type cup add a drop or two or reducer (4011 or 4013 as previously mentioned) at a time until it the consistency of milk. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, mix again and see if it’s still looking separated. I strongly suspect it’s the 4012 that is causing the separating ( also known as seeding)

The first pic looks like seeding and the second one looks like lumpy paint. As already said, good stir, a good shake and strain it before use. Maybe try adding a drop of water to the bit you want to try to see if it thins it out a bit. It is a thick paint.

The Createx Colours line is mainly aimed at T Shirts nowadays. It doesn’t mean it can’t be used for other applications, just mean that it will need some thinning.
Jackster has already mentioned the 4011 reducer. The 4012 that you have has been known to mess with paint. Plus certain elements can evaporate over time and make mixing with the paint even worse.
I’d recommend buying some 4011, mix and strain the paint well and thin after that. I’m sure your colours will be fine after that.

Thanks everyone. I really did not want to throw all the paint way. And I’m glade that’s the issue is not my airbrush. I have order some 4012 and will mix and filter. Will get back to creating soon.

Ah ok thanks did not order yet.

Will try 4011
You said you already have 4012 and we’ve all agreed that is the likely culprit to cause the separating. Try a straight 1:1 with the paint:reducer when you get it. A 1:3 ratio like you stated in your first post may have ‘broken’ the paint (that paint line may not like that much reducer)

Thank you everyone. I have the new thinner and I used nylon to filter the reduced paint and it looked great. Practiced my lines and dots and they looked great for me. I also painted my bow case Ill post pics.

Use the 4012 to clean the brush… it seems that is about all it’s good for
