mr hobby creos side feed trigger change

After I looked at @DaveG thread about the new Iwata's I remembered Dave telling me the pin on the bottom off the creos trigger was soldered I I removed the trigger and took out the micro blow torch and heated the little pin that holds the bottom pin up and with just a little force I was able to push that little pin out :)
Next thing was to change the bottom pin off the HP SBS eclipse trigger and replace it with the creos pin ( this one has a different diameter) .
the F1 trigger I had in my eclipse is low and even a bit to low for the Creos so I had to take a little off the front so it wouldnt hit the body but it works like a charm for me

Well done! Exactly the same way I put a flat top Iwata trigger on my HP-BS quite some time ago - I just replaced the Micron style cross pin with the push pin off the Eclipse trigger. Not for everyone, as some people are not familiar, or comfortable using a little heat and a punch, but an easy enough job for those willing to tackle it.

But, you know this now means you can fit a different trigger to the Eclipse Takumi ;).

I decided not to get the Takumi eclipse and I still had to old HP SBS eclipse trigger so that one went back in to the eclipse :)
I also converted the Creos back to the original 0.3 set up so it can fully replace the eclipse as I find this airbrush preforms much better than the eclipse and is capable of doing real fine detail even with the 0.3 set up to me this airbrush comes in real close to the HP SB+ 0.2

For sure - even set up as .3, that Creos is a real sleeper of a brush. Very underrated for sure. I think I will give the Takumi color cup a spin on the Creos, and see how it does.

with the way that takumi cup is set up I guess the Creos will out preform the Takumi eclipse abd I look forward to your opinion on it

I checked it out - the Creos is 7mm longer from nozzle tip to center line of the paint feed hole as compared to the Eclipse Takumi. With a shorter paint channel, the Takumi is faster to respond with paint flow. On the other hand, the Takumi cup works quite well on the Creos. I will note that one of my cups inserts very far into the adapter on the Creos before sealing, while the other sits quite normally. The one that goes in far, the side of the color cup is only a mm or 2 away from touching the adapter. The two Takumi cups fit the Iwata's OK, so I am guessing it has something to do with the tolerance range on the adapter. Not saying it will be an issue of any sort - just giving a heads up, in case...
