Not for airbrushing though, maybe one day, who knows...

qoute from article:

Two features give the paint its extreme whiteness. One is the paint’s very high concentration of a chemical compound called barium sulfate, which is also used to make photo paper and cosmetics white.

The second feature is that the barium sulfate particles are all different sizes in the paint. How much each particle scatters light depends on its size, so a wider range of particle sizes allows the paint to scatter more of the light spectrum from the sun.

Interesting. I turned the 'pinkest pink' and black 2.0 into useable airbrush paint. Crushed the pigments to a fine powder in a mortar, and then mixed with createx illustration medium, and they work well. So I don't see why this wouldn't.

I wonder if you will still get a blue shift with it.

Yeah, I think you would. Blue shift is not caused by the pigment in paint, but due to refraction. It actually happens with ALL sprayed paint due to the way droplets are laid down, but is really only noticeable in pure white. The only way to get around it polluting white with orange or to lay down super thick with hard edges. Wouldn't matter what the pigment was, it would happen. Warm whites like zinc mitigate this to some degree, but not much.

The moment you pollute the white tho, the saturation would decrease and your whitest white would probably not be so reflective anymore.

If the pigments become available, I might experiment myself.

Always because it comes from the shell that holds the pigment in place. Dru said he spent a week with the chemists to try and combat it, Dru himself is hyper intelligent so if they couldn’t do it….. always praying though :) would change the whole game!!! Anyone who thinks airbrushing is cheating or easy has never tried hey, my white tube paints on a brush cause zero issue!!!!
