This has probably been done before.

Here's my review of the Mojo+.

I currently own a Richpen 213, the o.g. Mojo, moflo and now the Mojo+.
Ive had the og Mojo the longest. Recieved in '07 as a Christmas gift. In '08 i bought the 213 as a comparison and for a workhorse perse. The difference between the Mojo and the base model was night and day. The "hotrodding" Mike does to these is not just marketing mumbo jumbo. As a newbie, I could tell the difference.
Fast forward to '22. Mojo has been my go to for most everything during the time frames I've been airbrushing.
I picked up the Mojo+ last week. Even though I suspected it to be mostly marketing hype, I ran it through its paces this weekend. Alongside the og Mojo. I used Createx Illustration White in the + black in the og. Both reduced with 4011, 1:1.
Same hose off the compressor. Somewhere around 15-20psi. Obviously the black gives less problems than the white. Dialing in the white was so much easier than the black thanks to the mac valve. I also had very little tip dry with white compared to the black. Thats a new one for me. You would think with both the + and og being a. 2 that they would pull fine lines equally, but the + seemed to pull tighter, finer lines than the original does. And seemed to have a quicker response. While my original Mojo is from '07, its probably only seen about 6 months of total use. So it can't be that its worn out.
I was definitely wrong about the Mojo+ being advertising hype.
Overall, this has got to be the best Mojo to date. And for those like me that have never had the pleasure of a mac valve, get one. Even if its the hose inline one. You'll love it.

I have not heard anything on Mojo for years now and assumed Mike was not able to find a good replacement for the rich pen. What is the base for the new Mojo+?

It's based on the 222c Phoenix. I spoke with Mike via text, and they do have parts to revive the older Mojo. Hopefully next month or so i can grab all the parts to keep in stock for both.

Mike is buying 223C's with a .2 needle, nozzle, and nozzle cap preinstalled, so a 222C ;) directly from Richpen. He also has the 113C, and a couple of others... The Phoenix (and Gemini) series are fantastic brushes. Really a shame they have never been more readily available - because they are up there with anything else out there. Just love them.
