I added details with erasers roughly following the ref and I reshaped a little part with the airbrush
I added the darker values but no details
I will try to take the photo's of the progress in the stages I normally never show :)

I see you got all the answers you need all I can ad is to only use graphite paper when you trace the ref photo to your substrate this can be erased...
Thanks @SiRoxx I guess my changed color perception makes me use richer colors and that would be the reason why I wasnt able to paint big cats any...
I checked the portrait , made some minor changes and I am calling it finished
not sure why I missed this but this is a wonderful portrait
I added some details and will give it a final check up tomorrow
the basic painting is done time for detailing and fine tuning
