I have completely lost this screw that is used on the cam ring to screw into the cam. Does anyone have a spare they could sell....as unlikely as it may be?

    Thanks,
    Phil

I am looking for one myself, I have been trying to repair and get working 2 old aerographs. I have been told its a 10 or 11 ba threaded screw. 11 ba is 1,49mm 10 ba is 1.7mm when converted but mm screws will not work as the threads will be wrong. I have ordered both sizes to see if they fit. Will let you know as soon as they come.

Cool! Have you had to replace the diaphragm? I’m trying to figure out what kind of material was used. Seems like very thin plastic or cellophane.

Lee, have you hooked up with Andrew? If so, he is a wealth of info, not just on Aerograph, but everything airbrush. Wonderful gentleman, as well. If not, then there are two ex-employees reachable ;)

I haven't contacted him directly Dave. I spoke to a guy named john who actually contacted me on fb, he is a member of the page but doesn't like social media much.
I was hoping Andrew would comment on my post on the fb page so I could ask some questions. Do you think he will be ok if I pm him?

Did John work for Aerogrpah as well? Andrew seems very nice, albeit a bit reserved. I don't see any problem dropping him a message - he can always choose not to respond if he does not want to.

I thought I read that he did but I must have wrongly read it, Just read back through his original pm where he said Andrew did and I must have thought he had. .. I got a bit mixed up Dave, it doesn't take much lol.
He does however have lots of old aerographs and parts and does similar to you with a lathe, turning parts and fixing the old airbrushes.

Oh, it's cool - I just thought it would be really cool to find out we have some sort of access to 2 people that worked in the industry, as well as perhaps the same company - that would be neat! Sounds like John is a good source of knowledge non-the -less.

Ok the screws have arrived and I can confirm its a 10ba thread. However they are longer than needed, the originals are shorter so the threaded part will need trimming down to 2.5mm or 3/32 inch in length. Philip, pm me your address and I will send you one.

Sounds good, but I just saw them magically appear on everything airbrush.com and got a couple, along with some other stuff. I didn’t see any air valve seals though and want to replace that as well. They do have packs of ptfe nozzle seals and needle pack seals though. Old brush should be up and running soon after probably decades of storage!

No problem, Saw this on eBay. Search for 261385865184 it's a genuine diaphragm and stem. Says it fits most air valves. Might be what your after. I haven't got access to my diagrams at the moment so can't check if it's the right part.

    Hi Lee,

That is the redesigned stem and diaphragm I believe. I have the older design valve system. But, I was referring to the rubber valve seal, not the diaphragm. They are two separate parts. The original rubber seal seems to be working fine at the moment, I just wanted a replacement since it’s pretty old now.

    Hi,
I’d be interested in any parts you might have. Do you have a list or photos?
