Clayboad problem

How do I soften the paint

Yes Lee Tomorrow with Neill I'm a bit nervous. as I've never had a lesson before

What do you need to soften the paint for...? The problem is as much that you have only one layer... you will still go down to the base clayboard. you can try reapplying water over the top. I did a picture of Einstein on clayboard, went too dark in the face, removed the whole lot and re started.

Mark We have our wires crossed somewhere along the away It's not one coat but more like 4-5 I was just about ready to add my last coat in that area but was going to lightly add more depth too my fur but it was going back to white as soon as I started to erase with eraser and fibre pen aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

There are two things to take into consideration. Golden High flow is not made for erasing or even as a airbrush paint any more. It is made for drip painting. Adding airbrushing Medium will help but once it is cured it will scratch completely off. Two is if the Claybord has a higher concentration of glue in it the paint will sit on top just like Synthetic Paper and not penetrate into the clay base. Having the paint absorbed will allow for a more subtle erasing.
