I’m delighted to follow those updates Zackod
I used to keep lots of tarantulas, venomous snakes, scorpions...
I’ve had the BW Spider too, and I keep thinking of getting try the jumping spiders ,
ATM I’ve got young Lasiodora parahybana (tarantula)
I’ve been watching tv documentary once. where they were showing the hunting techniques of the jumping spiders...
If you ever been watching that documentary, you’ll never forget, how such little creatures are smart and I’d say - intelligent !
This is why I’m so amazed with them, and thinking to try keep’em home to watch what they do, how they behave ...
Please finish that piece ,
Thankyou! I will finish this piece. I have been so focused on practicing techniques that i learn what i think i needed, abandon it and move to the next learning curve. But i will be finishing most of my paintings now.
Im glad you are enjoying it.
I do enjoy your updates very much
One day I may decide to get few home as a pets
Your work and skills are showing up very well.
All the best
You've got to finish it, you owe it to us after the initial tease
Haha. I will do. I had to have two noghts off, been busy with work and family. But tonight is the night.
I will be getting stuck into it as soon as i get home from work.
Just been slowly adding colour and using yhe pencil eraser, sharpened dowel and scaplel.
and a bit more
More colour and erasing. Using mainly yellow and viridian for the outer green, with sepia to get the darker brownish on the bottom. Yellow, scarlet red, magenta and erasing to create the hair at the top and on the legs. Will probably soften some of the parts that are out of focus with white and go back over with the transparents near the end.
Those eyes !!!
Thanks. More to do on the eyes yet too
Great Stuff @Zackod looks amazing. keep on going.
Already looks better than the reference picture.
thanks heaps. That means a lot!
This one is coming a long nicely and you have nailed how those eyes look on it.
Thanks Mr Micron!!!
It’s such detailed work, you know it!
I’m struggling with the tiger, but this detailed work on the spider it’s even more complicated if I’m right ,
I’m appreciate your great skills and patience Zackod
Thankyou so much. But i think a tiger could possibly be more difficult! I think one of my next studies will be a furry animal of some sort. I must have a look at your tiger. Have you got any photos up?
You’ve already seen my yesterday’s update dear friend. I’m happy you like it so far
Lots of scratches, layers and working back over and over the same places - this is how I could describe it
Zackod - this is the way I’m doing it, I bet it’s not too smart way, there must be some much faster/easy techniques to get the fur done
I wish you find easier techniques
My way suits me,but it’s time eater
