DIY gesso

seen a number it diy gesso YouTubes on making gesso. Basic recipe is elmers glue, baby powder or marble dust, and titanium white. Would this work on cheepy canvas or any other recipes that do?

My experience says, yes it would work
Other recipe is to use mix of glossy panel acrylic clear with marble based acrylic putty. Goes pretty well via 2.5mm HP spray gun nozzle when reduced to the consistency for the spray gun application. Cheap and working trick.

check out this thread, its been used and proven by members here to work and work well.
Read all the way through as some have adjusted the original recipe and beanpoleuk has also added a video on how he makes the recipe.
