That’s really cool of the Mrs. That tool is awesome, but there’s nothing wrong with having brand new needles sat round either.

I've always had a spare needle and nozzle for my brushes BUT I also have a sharpen-air.
I've only had to use it twice but it did what it claimed and had me up and running in no time. I'll keep 'repairing' my needles until it gets beyond repairable and then use the new needle.

just remember one thing........dont use a lot of force into the hole, angle the unit so the needle is angled down and just twist the needle with minimal downforce.

You wont regret getting one Husky, Yes this forum can be harsh on the wallet, but we also save people from spending money on stuff that wont do the job !!

Is this worth it ? those polishing pads are 3000 grit, so if you can source some sandpaper somewhere of the same grit you 'll get the same result at a better price. Auto shops may be a starting point, they often have the fine grit wet/dry sandpapers.

I got 100 circular '3000 grit polishing pads' from ebay for $10. (10c a piece, got to love that ! )

Dry will do, after all you are polishing the needle, not trying to reshape it. If you can get 6000 then why not grab a sheet and try it

You probably can get them at an auto shop,

I’d personally try one each of 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, just for the education of it. anything above 6000 I doubt you’d notice

A gentle touch, drop of water if you like, just remember these are made the same as sandpaper these are all polishing papers not a ‘sandpaper’ like most of us think of

Congrats on the early gifts but tell her to make sure she writes you a note that she will give to you on Christmas day telling you what she already gave you as a gift or else you may forget she gave them to you as a Christmas gift.LMAO
