I thought I'd try something a little more complex thus time. Chose a reference off google images and made a start a few days ago. Haven't got back to it since due to other commitments but I'm not too disheartened by the progress so far.

A bit more progress last night, nothing done this evening though as I had a wing mirror cover to paint and a couple of neighbours vehicles with flat batteries to jump start.

Hopefully I'll get back to it over the weekend, last night was taken up fixing the replacement wing mirror onto the daughters car. Someone, probably the Ford factory had cross threaded the nut on the back of the shouldered stud that held the old one on, had to very carefully cut the shoulder off it with a Dremel to get it out of the door.

Managed to finish this off over the weekend, I'm reasonably pleased with it as a first attempt but the more I look at it the more I see wrong, also the colour shifts a bit now its hung in a brighter area and she looks a little greyish like a zombie

Well - after taking my spider painting down from the conservatory as Nikki's clients found it too scary they are apparently saying that this picture too is also scary!

Hmmm, perhaps a fluffy bunny or something next......

You have done great, a lot of folks wouldn't attempt a piece like that. I don't know why someone would find it scary but it gives you an excuse to paint something else. Don't be disheartened by any comments and of course you can see things wrong but odds on only you will know what mistakes are there. Don't stress yourself over it. It is your interpretation of that reference image. Well done for trying.

Thanks for the kind words, its all good practice I guess, even the bits that didn't go so well.
