My Granddaughter has requested a flower picture and so I've made a bit of a start. My method so far is to make a paper sheild and cut away then tape back each individual petal. It's taking a while..... 20191006_165540_small.jpg

Maybe there is a better or quicker way of doing this - but I'm thinking its sort of working OK so far.

Id say you are going about it the right way! Flowers are tedious with lots of sharp edges so they are time consuming! Looking great so far!

The video of part 1 of the process. I need to get back on this but found myself at work on Saturday then making a new side panel for the bath on Sunday

Got a little bit more done on this on Sunday but my paper stencil is disintegrating a bit with all the cutting out and sticking back of individual petals, maybe I should have used acetate?

I'm thinking with the top half being a bit more out of focus I can do it a bit more freehand.

Here is the recent progress, a bit time consuming and repetitive this one, I have a demanding customer though!

    Constructive criticism welcome!

Managed to get this finished at the weekend, had a bit of a scare when I added a little too heavy a coat of clear and got some wrinkling of the paint underneath, somewhat miraculously this seemed to resolve itself as it dried!

That’s gorgeous, petals are challenging but I think you succeeded, slow and steady is the way to got with some subjects

Thanks, I can see some obvious flaws but I'm slowly getting used to the fact that you're never entirely happy with your own work. She was round for tea last night and seemed very pleased with it, she took it home and my daughter is going to put it on her bedroom wall for her :)

Thanks, I didn't really set out to make it that sort of style, my reference was a photograph, it just kind of went that way a bit
