Yes, at least four original producers as far as I can work out.
 
Only one other name I found as a definite original source which I can't think of at the moment.
The others I haven't even found there names. Just evidence they exist.
Models completely different than fengda offers.
And makes like fengdas but built differently.

Nope. I know exactly the place the neos are made.
In fact I'm contemplating selling the neo trn2 at a little better price.

Haosheng is a compressor source for major brands.

Idk.
Keep in mind
They show anest iwata, not iwata Medea. Anest iwata does a whole lot of business with medical and Industrial compressors.

Also keep in mind ,micron patents have been expired for 40 years give or take.

And keep in mind many Chinese manufacturers claim they make airbrushes....many are only reselling them.

Not really a secret, they aren't hard to find, but if I'm gonna offer them there's no sense blasting the source out publicly.
There's no big margin, but it might be some fluff to add to my store stock, entry level, half decent stuff might be good to add ...?

I have the impression chines stuff sold 9:1 vs all branded airbrushes. Additionally newcomers to modelling always looking for something cheap, but decent. Often this is abused by some creative hobby shops, claiming to have pre-selected copies /BS as usual/. Is there any of the Chinese manufactures with acceptable QC? Beginners are afraid to get on the wrong side of the hit or miss gamble.

Ehh, best I can judge the neos are not too poorly made.
Fengda is hit or miss.
Seems as usual if its Taiwan it's reasonable, if it's mainland China...hit or miss.
My best guesses anyhow.
They are getting better all the time.

I did find a compressor company though that seems to make a marginally better compressor than the rest... Full copper windings, hardened cylinders, the works but I'm having trouble finding a way to import them at a reasonable cost....may have to wait a while on that as it will require a massive investment to bring them to market at a reasonable cost.

in some other areas, Chinese manufactures have proven that they can make a step change, creating they own brand and even doing some R&D
in the airbrush world, the showstopper for them might be the fact that they already dominate the market, why to bother
