Hello all, I bought an old golf cart to lift, clean-up, repaint and restore and resell. During the process the looking at comps I found the custom paint jobs seem to draw the biggest $$$. So at 57 yo I always wanted to try my hand at airbrushing anyway. So here I am, just purchased a Grex Tritium.TG3. I also bought some Createx Colors to practice with till I'm ready. I live just north of San Antonio.

Welcome Rick! Nice to have you aboard. I’ll second what Joseph said about the airbrush tutor videos. They’re really helpful.

Welcome to the forum, What createx paints do have you got?
Createx = for textiles, need a larger nozzle for those ideally 0.5
Createx Illustration = For fine art but can be used in other applications "Can be used through a 0.18 micron"
Createx Wicked = Matal, paper, plastic, leather etc Good all round use. "Can also go through a 0.18 micron"

Welcome from the UK. Alongside learning to ab, look into prepping to paint too. Also have you thought about clearing? A skill in itself, or hopefully you know someone who can (much safer - nasty stuff). Lots of guys around here can give you pointers about that if you aren't sure. And lots of talent to get you up and running with the ab. Enjoy!

Yup, got some thought into clear. Maybe going to a 2 part rattle can from Eastwood for the first project. I don't mind some extra work sanding and buffing the clear. A golf cart body is small enough. I do have a pair of gravity feed sprayers. I looked at House of Kolor show clear but not sure I'm ready for that.

Welcome to the madhouse! As for clear coats you might want to try tamco clears, @MeeshellMP loves the stuff tuff as glass and easy to work with from what She has said about it

Welcome to the forum! I just went thru San Antonio the other day. There seems to be quite a few airbrushers in the SA area.
