    Hi Guys,

I just got the perfect eye print and spray guide but I'm about to pull the trigger on the Meow Step-by-Step.

    Anyone tried this?

Don’t forget to post up pictures, and ask if you are unsure of something.

I think quite a few have tried this one ... @markjthomson did I think

I've never done it as I had tried a couple of cats on my own already before this came out, but results from those I've seen try it seem to show that folks get a lot from it, that carries over into future work. I'd say give it a go.

Hey, I have seen many pics of forum members having followed the Meow Step by Step and the results look amazing in most cases.
Nevertheless, I wonder if the price of $47.00 is justified, given that it does not come with a DVD.
Anyhow, I am tempted to get it and try it myself after all the positive notions

That is $47 Au, about 30 euros, you get a good PDF guide as well as all the references. Well worth the money and supports the guy who set this page up. He has another couple of courses with video's. They are all worth the money.

It will give you all the tools to do your future projects like tigers, dogs, or any animal I guess. I finishged mine and I have a lot of other projects in mind, you will feel more confident on what to do instead of searching for info on videos, you have it all well packed in that PDF

    Hi all,

I have eventually bought the MEOW tutorial and have tried to follow it as good as I could.
Using the Schöllershammer 4G illustration board, I have aimed at producing 2 identical pictures in parallel (one for me, one for my sister in law)
While the reproducibilty seems to be OK, the paintings divert a bit from the results in the tutorial inparticular to the fur texture as it was difficult to get the scrathing done right. In particular since the board did not tolerate the agressive scratching and I needed to put down more paint for the scratching to work. It was impossible to create the whiskers with the scalpell later on and I have used a paint stick instead.
For comparison I will use a claybord for the next painting.

    All the best

The results are great and yes... there are limitations with the medium you used in terms of scratching. I look forward to seeing the claybord one!
