Around 3 hours in.
He's so cute
Another short update. Added a first layer of background (to gradually darken it, step by step), and some more work on the pug’s scarf. I am putting the pug into a hard hat diving suit, hence the weird shape of the bottom.
I was thinking this is a bit 'normal' for you until you added the last pic and description.
Please don't think i'm being rude about this not being 'normal' for you but most of your subjects and your standard portraits !
This is coming along nicely !
Hehehe, can’t help myself. I would be actually satisfied with a simple pug portrait (I once had two pugs around 10 years ago and adore them) but then something itches me to add a surreal twist.
Another short update. Still got a lot of work to do on this one.
I am closing this one. Around 15 hours, all in all.
I realize that my iPhone does not take great pictures of large sized acrylics paintings. Seems like the autofocus struggles with the airbrushed blends and general lack of hard edges. Hence, a close up of the doggy.
