I've come up with solvent proof needle packing o-rings for Japanese style 1.2mm and 1.4mm shafts. Up until now these have only been available in one very expensive brush.
They are a special material in a special size and were custom manufactured for this purpose.
The material also has the advantage of keeping it's shape better than any other material , which means it will not flatten after long periods under compression.
In turn it outlasts the normal factory original orings.
Can be used in place of Teflon packings for a better feel, or to solvent proof brushes originally equipped with orings.
