    Hey everyone!,

so probably I'll be given this light-brown plastic engine cover to airbrush.

    100797302_4151486628209696_8249363038549835776_n.jpg

It will be scuffed but need your help afterwards...
Will it be all right to be covered with autoborne sealer and airbrushed afterwards? Have no clue what is the procedure with these things...
Any help would be deeply appreciated, thanks in advance :)

You can airbrush over sealer but it is best to base coat over sealers then your art....

cool, thanks! was wondering about the heat from the engine, if colors (createx/wicked) will last and not crack over time...

Will last, cause this plastic is over valve cover and not get so hot to destroy the paint...

    Hi Dimitris,

A couple of years ago I enquired with created tech support about paint the clutch side case cover on my Rm125 dirtbike with autoborne sealer.
Can't find the email response but they said that they say offically it is good for something like 350 degree Fahrenheit but they have tested it and it is more then capable to withhold temperatures up to 500 degree Fahrenheit.

If you look at the latest data sheets they say that uvls gloss clear is now there best primer for harder plastics.

So far I have had no issues with heat affecting the clutch cover on my bike

    Michael

It suprised me also when I asked the question on what temperatures it could handle. If you get the time a quick question to tech support will confirm if my memory of the figures are correct.

Ive talked to many people who are really interested in getting something painted and spend forever planning an what to do to it, and then walk away when you give them a cost...people seem to think art should be dirt cheap and not realize the effort, time and materials that go into it

Sorry you didn't get to do it

most people just don't understand it's a luxury service, art craft is expensive. They are not your target customers at all.
