Whats the difference between coal miner's black and Joe Bloggs black?, what's special about the coal miner that he gets to have his own black and everybody else just gets black? that could be construed as discrimination, and we're not even out of Europe yet:eek:

If these bikes and parts are on your property, you can do what you like with them, throw some skulls on the lot and they can like it or lump it, do they even know your an artist?

"What do you do for a living?"....."OH I'm an artist,"....."Excellent, can you fix my washing machine?" :)

Probably will get nowt. It’s for my friend The Honey Badger. Coz.. it’s practice using my stuff see! Clever is he. Maybe my luck will change and I might be able to earn something that they call money.:(
BUT ! Some kind person did buy my big Groot on Canvas in my Etsy shop for a modest price and is now on it’s way to live in the south of France. Cannes. Maybe wants some more too. Also the girl who had the pet portraits asked me if I could paint a blinking wedding photo of her brother getting married tommorow. I said I would have a go. A tough cookie to do though. But if you don’t try...........

Thought something was a bit fishy. I haven't owned a bike in a while but how can a suzuki have a honda sticker? The cafe racer is the Honda 400/4
and the other one is also a honda. That's what I like , keep me guessing and in the dark and do it to exactly what's in my friends mind.
mmmmm. The blue tank is going to be special black and the other maybe what ever yellow I think and tough !!!!!

I did think the blue tank looked like a Honda RS250 tank and not a suzuki. You still have to paint it, doesnt really matter what its off well apart from putting the brand name on the tank. Now that would be funny. Suzuki on the side of a Honda. Good luck, looking forward to seeing the finished items.

Doing a bit of blending out dents and scratches. Every little helps. Don't like using filler especially on plastic. Doesn't want to stay where you tell it. Then friend asked me if there was enough room on fireblade tank to do a portrait? WHAT! After just clearing it. It's ok he said, I got another 3 of them. P. S. I ain't doing them for nothing. I'm starvin!

Some of the stuff I’ve been trying on these bikes. I’m no expert but I thought I would have a go at em.
This is just for anyone who is interested in bikes.
Hope to get better at them and fasssssttttteeeeeerrrrrr. Got to do only a couple of decals coz I painted a few instead of stickers.
Then the bit that will either make or break it. Clearing it and a bit of spit and polishing.
If no more piccies that means I’ve cocked it up. Hope not expensive materials.
It was pretty bad to begin with coz it’s 30 years old.

Not done much clearcoating. So picked up a minigun and dived straight in.
I was really surprised that I was happy with the results. Nice factory orange peel very slight but even. But a few little gremlins on the front mudguard.
It’s got a tack coat and 2 wet coats on them so there is enough to colour sand it out. Trouble is doing this I can’t get on with my quicky portraits.

Practice panel before I threw it on the bike. Better not chance it coz he had a new YAMAHA R1 tank today delivered for me to paint. Waiting to find out what is to go on it.
I will sand with 1500 and polish the boogers out hopefully. Side panels and tail tomorrow.
A few fisheyeballs coz I use a waterborne panel cleaner. Don’t like to use anything different coz it might get into the paint .
The tricks I have learnt is try not to use thinners at all. Put cellulose thinners on a cloth and it WILL take paint off so what’s the point in adding it and spraying paint stripper all over the paintwork.
I tried without and it is much better and doesn’t weaken the 2k finish. Happy Days!

    Looks great....
You have time for your portraits....you need to let that clear harden and set before wet sanding and polish...

Those clears came out looking good, I'm about to get back to my roots and get re-acquainted with automotive, been 25 years since I've worked in a bodyshop but did spray signs after that.

I’m no expert at these and found it difficult as it was the worst colour .Black. I cut it back now with 2000 grit as far as I would dare and am in the process of getting some sort of shine back to him. Tougher than I thought. Will know next time. It’s looks ok but a few critters in it but not too bad.
He’s asked me to do a double portrait on his Zafira engine cover next. A Rossi and Senna. At least I know what to expect in the future. A lot of time and patience that’s a fact.
