Starting Over

Hey all, when you airbrush a plastic crankbait and you are unhappy with how it looks, how do you start over? Assuming it is before clear coating, do you need to remove all the previous paint or can you just shoot another coat of primer and start anew? I use all Createx and Wicked acrylics. Thanks in advance.

Not familiar with painting these, you probably could just re prime, but I would probably take it back to the beginning just to be 100% sure nothing gets pulled back through when clearing (happened once on a bike tank) But as I say, not a bait painter so just a guess.

You have a couple of options , One is to just scuff it with a scotch brite pad or soak it in hot soapy water to see if the paint will release.
On plastic I usually go the scotchbrite route then spray a base coat over it to lock anything underneath it down.
