Kind of an off the cuff question, but does anyone know of a place I can have an old airbrush re-nickel/chrome plated? I had to have some brazing work done on it and, as a result, refinished.

I had a local jewelry repair shop do the braze work, which turned out great, but I'm not very confident in his ability to plate it!

Most chrome plating shops can handle the task, I know another local airbrusher in my area had to have his brush worked on and re-chormed and he just took it to the local shop and they took care of it. He said it looks and sprays just like it did when it was new 40 years ago LOL .

Chrome plating can easily be done. Depends where you are in the world..

I thought there might be a specific company or guy that could be recommended by the community based on past experience plating brushes versus someone that doesn't even know what an airbrush is! I live in Florida and I cant find anyone local to me that has such experience so thought I'd reach out.

you can get a hold of Coast Airbrush by calling David or Ryan and I am sure they can give you the name of a person who can do that for you.

Good idea Mr.Micron, if coast don't know nobody does.

Over here in the U.K. I have had some exhausts rechromed after being brazed repaired and it's not cheap.

If my dad was working where he used to work I could get it done for nothing. He ran a demo shop at a chemical company. He was in charge of plating samples for potential customers in chrome, silver, nickel etc so I regularly had things plated for myself.
The exhausts I had done were 3 mufflers off a Kawasaki S2 350cc just rechroming, just under £500 that's without any repair costs or cleaning and stripping.. so not cheap but half the cost compared to a lot of others round here.
