perfect thanksYes you can... there are a few methods... check out the tutorial on airbrushtutor for the rock or special effects.
Honestly I found it difficult to come up with the description I had I know the paint cant have an actual "depth" or physical texture so I think im going to stay away from the tooth brush effectDepends on the sputter you want ..Lowering pressure to the point of buggering the spray, taking of your nozzle (on some airbrushes) use a tooth brush or stiff bristle paint brush and prob another 20 odd ways can achieve splatter for you, graininess can be incorporated by breaking your paint and real low pressure or using other mediums whilst building the work...What sputtter would you like
Going to experiment with this tooI did my mountain lion picture with stipple effects (now and forever know as spluttering)Just by lowering the pressure so my paint came out graine
awesome thanks sorry for the mispostHey @bpwmd here would be a good place for those questions I think... http://www.airbrushforum.org/beginner-airbrush-questions/
Maybe start a post there. Check google for the answer to your questions as to the difference between the two. If you want to know about putting one product on top of another always check the manufacturers recommendations. That will normally give you 90% of the answers.
ahhhh gotchaAvoid mixing paint types if you can, it can be done and you'll find lots of info on it here or elsewhere in the www, but for most part if you can stick with one paint type. Enamel paint is often oil based and acrylic often water based though variations do occur but the old saying of you cant mix oil and water rings true in most cases with paint...BUT some you can LOL but often thats a chemistry lesson...
