Hello everyone,
This might be a dumb question but I’m gonna shoot my shot anyway ...

I have a needle size of .3mm and my paint is suitable for a .5mm needle, how many drops of paint to thinner ratio would I need to help my paint run smoothly.

Thanks in advance :)

What paint? Each brand has a different reduction ratio .
Most recommend 1 drop paint to 3 drops reducer. But some paints like Comart needs no reduction .
Best advice is put the paint in straight out the bottle and try spraying it at 35 PSI then reduce until you get the flow you want.

the problem lies in the "suitable for 0.5 nozzle" I have paints that need that 0.5 nozzle no matter how thin I make it the pigment size will not get smaller and it will never go trough a 0.3 nozzle but I am talking about a paint with a pearl flake in it but I can imagine that if a manufacturer states the paint needs a 0.5 nozzle it will be due to the pigment size and not the thickness of the paint itself

"I have a needle size of .3mm and my paint is suitable for a .5mm needle" - what paint is it... are you talking about Createx...?

Direct quote from the Createx website for the Wicked/Wicked Detail TDS:

• Large tip-size: Out-of-bottle / 0.5mm / 35+ psi.
• Medium tip-size: Dilute 4011 or 4012 10% per vol. / 0.3mm / 25 -35 psi.
• Small tip-size: Wicked Detail Colors diluted 4011 or 4012 / 0.18mm tip size / low psi settings.
• Generally, the small the tip size, the lower the psi, the more 4011 or 4012 is added to paint.

If you are using metalics/pearls then generally you wont be able to use anything smaller than .5

There you go... RTFM... What the manufacturer says!
