So I've been experimenting with the leather dyes. The dye I'm using, Fiebings Pro Dye. Is a solvent based dye. Researching found that few people have thinned it out with isopropyl alcohol. So I decided to try it and see what happens. I found that it responds more like candies when thinned. Its so much easier to achieve different shades of the same color. Also found that there is a dye reducer made specifically for it. Picking some up today. I suspect the same results since its 85%-95% ethanol and 5-15% isopropyl alcohol.
Really want to find out how over reduced one can push it to.
