Sry DaveG. I know you have incredible collection of airbrushes, I didn't think you will go digging for Paschee. It was more a question if you know maybe.

I’m very impressed with my 290. To my amateur eyes the machining and quality is as good as my Iwata brushes. Likewise the feel of the operation is great.

I've only heard good things about them. I have an Iwata RG-3 that I don't use because I don't want to clean it. A 290 i think I would actually use.

I can see that. The 290 is as easy as any other airbrush. More so than some as the cup unscrews and can be removed. (Sorry if you know that already and I’m stating the obvious lol).

the real question here for me is, for what kinda jobs you are using 290. Cause I know you got ANI R150 am I right? lol The smallest tip size in that ani is 0.5 I wonder what you get with 290, which you can't get with your ani? -.-

    conversion costs 40 bucks

An r150 with a .5 is gonna dump way more paint than a 290.
R150 with a .5 would need it's pattern dialed down to like 3-4 inches to spray like a 290 at 2.5 inches.

Dial it down smaller than that and it's a hose, larger and it's a fog gun.

So what you get is a smaller pattern and less air use.

That’s right Mate, I do have the R150 with a 1.0 tip too. The 290 is great to break out and do a quick Intercoat over an A4 sized piece. It’s a lot quicker to clean up too, so it’s really handy for quick coverage. The ANI is mostly for putting 2k Clear over finished pieces. That the plan anyhow, I have my first time trying Clear Coat through it today. Not on a finished piece, just a practice panel.

I have a W101 1.0mm for the heavy spraying. After getting the BCS however, I can say there is a big difference between the TH .5mm & BCS .5mm. Wonder if you can put a TH needle in a BCS & get a bigger pattern out of the BCS:whistling:
